FBR Demo, Avoid Jalan Budi Kemuliaan

Betawi Forum Union (FBR) will rally in front of Jakarta’s ElectionCommission office on Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, about 500 meter west of Monas,today. Our source in Jakarta Metro Police Intelligence said up to 250member of this ethnic based organization will gather on the locationstarting 11 AM. They are blaming the commission for many of FBR membersare not listed on the voting list.

FBR are a hard line movement founded in 1999 by late Fadloli El Muhiraiming on enhancing Betawinesse prosperity. However, this organizationhas notorious records. Two weeks ago, their members clashed with men fromethnic of Madura in Pulogadung, East Jakarta, and burned a vehicle on thelocation.

We recommend not passing Jalan Budi Kemuliaan between 11AM until 2 PM toavoid unwanted incident.

Other demonstration will take place in front of Presidential Palace on 9AM. Around 200 labors of PT Inkosindo Sukses are asking the government toprotect them from dismissal. A small demonstration, with only 50participants, will occur on Bunderan HI (Hotel Indonesia roundabout)between 11 AM until 3 PM. Demonstrators are encouraging citizens not tovote for bad politicians in tomorrow’s general election.
